British photographer Trevor Cole @trevcole has been announced as the overall winner of the professional category, winning the title of Monochrome Photographer of the Year 2019 and earning $2000 prize money.
His winning image, entitled The Mundari Cattle Camp, portrays a world in an ancient mist, trapped in time, where tribal traits and traditions are perpetuated in the twenty-first century.
In 2019, we received 5,672 submissions from 89 different countries. Our jury included: Juraj Mravec, Kamilla Hanapova, Sanket Khuntale, Kim Høltermand, Heiko Gerlicher, Elena Ivskaya, and Heikki Leis.
