Welcome  To The First Blog On Our New And Fabulous Website. The First Phototour Of Our summer Season Took Place On The Third Weekend In May. It Had 4 Participants. We Like To Keep Our Maximum Number To 5 To Ensure Each Of Our Photographers Obtains The Most Out Of The Weekend. They Can Also Have  The Undivided Attention Of Both Trevor Cole And Myself (Ashley Kydd). As Is Now Normal On Our Phototours We All Met Up At Arnou (Part Of Arnold’s Hotel ) In The Centre Of Dunfanaghy . It Is Strategically Situated On Sheephaven Bay On The Wild Atlantic Way. The Purpose Of The First Meeting Is For Everyone To Become Acquainted And For The Tour Leaders To Assess The Skill Levels Of Each Person. We Also Want To Maximise What They Can Learn On The Phototour.

The Arch

We Decided To Take Everyone To The Horn Head Arch Which  Requires A Short 15 Minute Walk .  The Land Is Private Property And A Working Farm So We Always Call In With The Farmer To Tell Him Our Intentions . His Dog Is Legend And Always Accompanies Us To The Arch. After The Walk  We Were Able To Take In The Marvelous Views. From Here One Can See The Bloody Foreland On Our Left And The Islands Of Tory, Innisboffin And Innisdoey.

Sunset

The Phototour Remained At This Location for 2 Hours Taking In The Sights Sounds  Of The Atlantic Ocean . At Approx. 8 pm We Returned To Dunfanaghy for A bite To Eat At The Rusty Oven. We Then Drove To The Mouth Of The River Ray For Sunset. We Stayed Here For Just Over An Hour.

It Was Then Time To Relax And Talk About Photography For A While Before Returning To The Accommodation At Anseo . Day 2 Of Our Phototour Along The Donegal Section Of The Wild Atlantic Way To Follow.
